Courtney Heynen and Bronwyn Trebilcock have both been acknowledged as the ‘Face of ACE’ for their outstanding journey as adult learners.
UnitingSA Employment and Training Support is a provider of the Adult Community Education (ACE) program, which aims to develop participants’ skills in a supportive, informal learning environment. It assists adult learners to overcome complex barriers and transition to volunteering, further education, training and work.
The program has helped Courtney secure an employment placement, gain volunteer work and commence training for the Certificate II in Computer Assembly and Repair.
As a participant of ACE, Bronwyn has built her confidence in job applications and interviews, and after being out of work for six years, has now been employed by a call centre.
