in Aged Care

Want to make a difference?
Volunteer in Aged Care today

Volunteering is an equally rewarding experience for the people we support and for our volunteers.

Your time and companionship can bring joy and comfort to the lives of children, families and individuals in need, as well as brighten the days of older South Australians.

In return you may learn valuable life lessons and gain a deeper appreciation of the unique challenges people are experiencing, while feeling more connected to your community. Our volunteer opportunities are rewarding, flexible, and offer the chance to make a positive impact in the lives of South Australians.

Offer your skills to volunteer in aged care, community programs or one of our outreach centres.

Together we can improve lives.

Volunteer as part of your Centrelink Obligations

You can volunteer at UnitingSA to meet your mutual obligation or participation requirements, sometimes known as Work for the Dole, as part of your Job Plan set out by the Federal Government through the Centrelink program.

To find out more, speak to your local Centrelink at a Services Australia office near you.

“I was in such a dark place for years and my mental health issues meant I couldn’t see anything straight. With the help of my support worker, I started to feel comfortable in my own skin and now I am even working again. I will always remember how I recovered with the help I received through UnitingSA.”
