The awards bring to life our shared values of respect, compassion, courage and integrity, and remind us just how powerful it is to come together in appreciation of one another.

Q: Can I submit multiple nominations?
A: Yes, you can make multiple nominations.
Q: Can I nominate my own team?
A: No. The intention of the awards is to acknowledge and appreciate our colleagues and teams across the organisation.
Q: Do I need a UnitingSA e-mail to nominate?
A: No. Should we have questions or need to get in touch, we will contact you using the details you provide with the nomination.
Q: Once I start a nomination, can I save it and finish it later?
A: No, you will need to complete the nomination and submit it in a single session.
Q: Do you notify nominees that they have been nominated for an award?
A: Yes. Once all nominations have been verified for eligibility, nominees will be notified.

Q: Who is eligible to win an Award?
A: To help keep the awards equitable, winning teams from 2024 are not eligible to win in the same category in 2025. In recognition of their achievement from the previous year, a member from each winning team will present the award to this year’s winning team.
Highly commended teams from the previous year are eligible to win in the same category.
For the two awards that directly correlate with specific teams, those teams will not be eligible to win the corresponding award but will be involved in the judging process and co-present the award to this year’s winning team. These are:
- Great Client Experience Award – not eligible for the Great Client Experience Team
- Safety Award – not eligible for the WHS, Injury Management and Wellbeing Team

Q: Who decides the winners?
A: This year, winners will be decided by representatives from each portfolio. This is in response to your feedback to make the process more streamlined and balanced.
Q: Who is invited to the Team Excellence Awards?
A: All UnitingSA employees and volunteers are invited to attend.
Q: Do I have to pay to attend the Team Excellence Awards?
A: There is no charge to attend the Team Excellence Awards.
Q: Is attending the Team Excellence Awards on paid time?
A: No.
Q: If I am a finalist, do I have to attend the Team Excellence Awards?
A: No, but we would love each nominated team to be represented so they can be acknowledged and so that someone is there to accept the award if your team is the winner.
