We are writing to inform you another COVID-19 case was identified overnight (Wednesday, 11 May 2022) at West Lakes Aged Care. This brings the total number of COVID-positive residents to five.
The latest case is a resident on Level 1, who was detected through our PCR testing of all residents on Tuesday (10 May 2022).
This resident has now been moved to Level 3 with the other COVID-positive residents.
Level 3 remains closed to visitors, with staff continuing to wear full PPE and residents being encouraged to remain in their rooms.
Another round of PCR testing is being undertaken today (Thursday, 12 May 2022).
We will provide a further update when we have obtained these results.
