It gives us great pleasure to inform you that Seaton Aged Care will reopen to visitors from 10am tomorrow (Thursday, 14 April 2022).

SA Health has officially declared the COVID-19 outbreak over after a final round of PCR testing undertaken yesterday returned all negative results.

This is a wonderful outcome and testament to the work undertaken by the Seaton Aged Care team and the diligence of residents, family and friends in adhering to COVID-19 restrictions.

We are excited to be able to reunite family and friends with their loved ones in time for Easter.

To ensure the safe return of visitors, the following precautions are in place:

  • A limit of one visitor per day, with a single visit of up to one hour
  • All visits must:
    • Be pre-booked via phone or email between 8.30am and 4pm weekdays. Family and friends should call (08) 8268 7677 or email seaton@unitingsa.com.au
    • Take place between 10am and 4pm daily, or 6pm to 8pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays
    • Occur in the resident’s room

We know many family and friends will be eager to book visits and ask that you are patient with our team as we work to reunite you with your loved ones as soon as possible.

Please note: all visitors must now undertake a Rapid Antigen Test and show a negative result, in order to visit their loved one. Testing kits will be provided to visitors by Seaton Aged Care’s reception staff.

This Rapid Antigen Testing program is in place across all UnitingSA Residential Aged Care homes to reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission.

Residents are also now permitted to leave Seaton Aged Care for a day outing. These can be arranged using the contact details above.

We would like to extend a huge thank you to the entire Seaton Aged Care community for your incredible efforts over the past month as you have worked together to ensure the health and safety of everyone within our care.

It has been an extremely challenging time for everyone involved and we are both relieved and thankful to be in a position where we are able to safely welcome family and friends back into our home.
