Further wings closed at several Aged Care homes

Please find below our latest Covid-19 update for Seaton, West Lakes, Hawksbury Gardens, Wesley House and Westminster Village Aged Care.

UNITINGSA WEST LAKES AGED CARE

Positive case/s: 19
Exposure details: There are now four COVID-positive residents on Level 1, 12 on Level 2, and three on Level 3.
Site Status: Level 2 is now closed. Level 1 also remains closed to visitors. Covid-positive residents on all levels are isolating in their rooms. Level 3 is open to visitors.
Testing: Five new cases were detected through PCR testing on Friday, with four of the cases located on Level 2 and one on Level 1. One further Covid-positive resident was detected on Sunday on Level 3. There were five residents cleared on Level 1, three on Level 2 and one from Level 3. PCR testing will be undertaken again tomorrow.

HAWKSBURY GARDENS AGED CARE

Positive case/s: Eight
Exposure details: There are seven Covid-positive residents in the Light wing and one Covid-positive resident in Bingham wing. All residents are isolating in their rooms.
Site status: Light wing remains closed to visitors until further notice. The rest of Hawksbury Gardens Aged Care remains open.
Testing: A resident in Bingham wing returned a positive Rapid Antigen Test on Sunday morning, while a resident in Light wing returned an indeterminate result from PCR testing on Saturday. All residents in the Light and Bingham wings are undergoing PCR testing today.

WESLEY HOUSE AGED CARE

Positive case/s: 11
Exposure details: There are nine Covid-positive residents in Jervois wing, one in Lipson wing, and one in Semaphore wing.
Site status: Jervois wing is now closed. Residents in the Lipson and Semaphore wings are isolating in their rooms. The rest of Wesley House Aged Care is open to visitors.
Testing: Five Covid-positive cases were detected through PCR testing on Saturday. All residents are undertaking PCR testing again today.

SEATON AGED CARE

Positive case/s: Two
Exposure details: Five cases have now been cleared. The two remaining cases are isolating in their rooms.
Site status: Seaton Aged Care remains closed to visitors until further notice.
Testing: There were no new cases detected through PCR testing on Sunday. All residents will undergo PCR testing again tomorrow.

WESTMINSTER VILLAGE AGED CARE

Positive case/s: Five
Exposure details: There are four Covid-positive residents in Semaphore wing and one Covid-positive resident in West Beach wing.
Site status: Semaphore wing is now closed to visitors. The rest of the Westminster Aged Seaton Aged Care remains closed to visitors until further notice.
Testing: All five cases were detected via Rapid Antigen Testing. The first was a resident in West Beach, who tested positive on Saturday. Four further residents tested positive today. All residents are undergoing PCR testing today.

A reminder that from today, we will be issuing COVID-19 updates three times per week on Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays. We will continue to notify families and representatives directly if their loved one tests positive to Covid-19.
