We are writing to provide you with an update for UnitingSA West Lakes Aged Care.

One new COVID-positive case was identified through PCR testing on Friday, while another resident has been cleared.

This brings the total number of COVID-positive cases to two. Both residents are located on Level 1.

We are awaiting advice as to when the next PCR testing will be undertaken, and will provide a further update once we receive more information.

IMPORTANT FLU VACCINE REMINDER

All visitors have been reminded that they cannot enter West Lakes Aged Care unless they have received a 2022 flu vaccination. Evidence of the vaccination must be provided to our administration staff, who will then issue a 2022 Proof of Vaccination Card.

The flu vaccination was mandated by the South Australian Government, and is compulsory for all Residential Aged Care sites across South Australia.

If any family or friends are unvaccinated and wish to visit, they will need to pre-book and the visit must take place outside the West Lakes Aged Care entrance. In line with the Government mandate, they are unable to enter the building.

Following these rules will help protect the entire UnitingSA West Lakes Aged Care community against flu.

If you have any questions, please speak to a member of your care team.
