We are writing to provide you with an update on the COVID-19 situation at Westminster Village Aged Care.
Our latest round of PCR testing yesterday identified 10 new COVID-19 cases. Families of the COVID-positive residents have been directly notified and we will continue to keep them informed.
The latest cases bring our total number of COVID-positive residents to 16, with 10 located in Largs wing and six in West Beach wing.
In light of the increased cases, Westminster Village Aged Care is now closed to visitors until further notice.
The following measures are in place:
- Residents are being encouraged to remain in their room, with meal deliveries and regular wellbeing checks
- All staff are wearing full PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and are working in zones to reduce movement within our home
- Staff continue to undertake Rapid Antigen Testing before each shift
- Staffing levels in the affected areas have been increased to offer extra support to residents during this time
PCR testing is expected to be undertaken on all residents at Westminster Village Aged Care tomorrow. A further update will be provided once we receive these results.
