We’re writing to provide you with a COVID-19 update for UnitingSA’s Residential Aged Care homes. As explained yesterday, we will now be combining our site updates into a singular communication. Below is a summary for each of our impacted Aged Care homes.

HAWKSBURY GARDENS AGED CARE

Positive case/s: Seven
Exposure details: There are now five COVID-positive residents in the Para wing, one in Gawler and one in Burton.
Site status: The Para wing remains closed. Our residents in the Gawler and Burton wings are isolating in their rooms. The remainder of the Gawler and Burton wings, and the rest of Hawksbury Gardens Aged Care, is open to visitors.
Testing: Three COVID-positive residents were detected in yesterday’s PCR testing. PCR testing will be undertaken for all residents again tomorrow.

WESLEY HOUSE AGED CARE

Positive case/s: Six
Exposure details: There are five COVID-positive residents located in the Semaphore wing. There is now one remaining COVID-positive resident in the Lipson wing after a resident was cleared today.
Site status: A small zone within the Semaphore wing is closed to visitors. COVID-positive residents in the Jervois and Lipson wings remain isolating in their rooms. The rest of Wesley Aged Care is open to visitors.
Testing: There were no positive cases detected in Sunday’s PCR testing of residents in the Semaphore and Lipson wings. Jervois wing residents are undertaking PCR testing today.

UNITINGSA WEST LAKES AGED CARE

Positive case/s: Seven
Exposure details: All COVID-positive residents are located on Level 3.
Site Status: A small zone on Level 3 remains closed to visitors. The rest of Level 3 and the remainder of UnitingSA West Lakes Aged Care remains open to visitors.
Testing: There were two COVID-positive cases detected in yesterday’s PCR testing. PCR testing is being undertaken for all residents again today.

WESTMINSTER VILLAGE AGED CARE

Positive cases: Nine
Exposure details: Four COVID-positive residents are located in the Largs wing, while one is in West Beach, one is in Henley Beach and three are in Tennyson. SA Health has determined the case in Grange was a past positive and therefore has been removed today’s total number of cases.
Site Status: All of Westminster Village Aged Care remains closed to visitors.
Testing: PCR testing is being undertaken for all residents today.
