We are writing to provide you with a COVID-19 update for West Lakes Aged Care.

Three COVID-19 cases were detected yesterday following PCR testing that morning, while one resident returned a positive Rapid Antigen Test earlier today.

All COVID-positive residents are located on Level 2. As a result, Level 2 has been closed to visitors.

There are now six COVID-positive residents at West Lakes Aged Care.

We are continuing to follow SA Health’s COVID-19 Outbreak Management Plan, with the following measures in place:

  • All Level 2 residents are encouraged to remain in their room with meal deliveries and regular health and wellbeing checks.
  • Only staff zoned to this level are permitted to enter this area.
  • Staff continue to wear full PPE (goggles, gowns, gloves, masks and face shields).

All Level 2 residents will undergo PCR testing tomorrow.

The rest of West Lakes Aged Care remains open to visitors.

We will provide a further update tomorrow. If you have any questions in the interim, please speak to a member of your care team. Contact details for all of our Aged Care homes can be found on our Contact page.

We would like to thank the entire West Lakes community for your support at this challenging time.
