We’re writing to provide you with a COVID-19 update for UnitingSA West Lakes, Hawksbury Gardens, Wesley House and Seaton Aged Care.

SEATON AGED CARE

Positive case/s: Three
Exposure details: No further positive cases have been detected. The three COVID-positive residents are isolating in their rooms, with all other residents encouraged to remain in their room with meal deliveries and regular wellbeing checks.
Site status: Seaton Aged Care remains open to visitors, however all visitors and staff are required to wear full PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) until further notice. PPE will be provided to visitors upon arrival.
Testing: PCR testing is being undertaken for all residents at Seaton Aged Care today.

HAWKSBURY GARDENS AGED CARE

Positive case/s: Three
Exposure details: We are pleased to inform you that seven residents have been cleared today after reaching the end of their isolation period. There are two COVID-positive residents located in Para wing, and one COVID-positive resident in Gawler wing.
Site status: Para wing is now open to visitors with the two remaining COVID-positive residents safely isolating in their rooms. The rest of Hawksbury Gardens Aged Care is open to visitors.
Testing: PCR testing is being undertaken today.

WESLEY HOUSE AGED CARE

Positive case/s: Five
Exposure details: There were three new COVID-positive residents detected. One resident is located in Jervois wing, another is located in Semaphore wing, and a third resident is in Falie wing. In addition, one resident in Semaphore wing has been cleared.
Site status: A small section of Semaphore wing is closed. The COVID-positive residents in Jervois and Falie wings are isolating in their rooms. The rest of Wesley House Aged Care is open to visitors.
Testing: The next round of PCR testing will be undertaken for all residents at Wesley House Aged Care again tomorrow.

UNITINGSA WEST LAKES AGED CARE

Positive case/s: Two
Exposure details: All seven COVID-positive residents located on Level 3 have now been cleared. There are two COVID-positive residents located on Level 1.
Site Status: The residents on Level 1 are isolating in their room. The rest of Level 1 and the remainder of UnitingSA West Lakes Aged Care is open to visitors.
Testing: A small number of results from PCR testing undertaken on Sunday are still outstanding, however the results received so far have been negative. PCR testing is being undertaken across the whole site again today.

The following visitation rules remain in place until further notice:

  • A limit of two visitors per day, with a single visit of up to one hour
  • All visits must:
    • Be pre-booked with your home’s reception via phone or email between 8.30am and 4pm
      weekday
    • Take place between 10am and 4pm daily, or 6pm to 8pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays
    • Occur in the resident’s room or an outdoor area

Families and friends who are part of our Partners in Care initiative are able to continue providing support to residents who are in isolation due to COVID-19 restrictions. Please contact your home directly to discuss the details of your care visit.
