We’re writing to provide you with a COVID-19 update for UnitingSA’s Residential Aged Care homes. Our Seaton Aged Care home has now closed to visitors in light of additional cases, while the situation remains stable across our other homes. Please find situation summaries below for Seaton, West Lakes, Hawksbury Gardens and Wesley House Aged Care.

SEATON AGED CARE

Positive case/s: Seven
Exposure details: A further four positive cases have been detected. All COVID-positive residents are isolating in their rooms.
Site status: Seaton Aged Care is now closed to visitors until further notice.
Testing: PCR testing undertaken yesterday returned five results that were classed by SA Health as indeterminate. Those residents are isolating and have been retested today. All residents at Seaton Aged Care will undergo PCR testing tomorrow.

HAWKSBURY GARDENS AGED CARE

Positive case/s: Three
Exposure details: There are two COVID-positive residents located in Para wing, and one COVID-positive resident in Gawler wing.
Site status: Para wing is now open to visitors with the two remaining COVID-positive residents safely isolating in their rooms. The rest of Hawksbury Gardens Aged Care is open to visitors.
Testing: Yesterday’s PCR testing resulted in one resident being classed as indeterminate. This resident is currently isolating in their room and will be retested tomorrow. Some test results from PCR testing undertaken yesterday are outstanding. PCR testing for the whole home will be undertaken again tomorrow.

WESLEY HOUSE AGED CARE

Positive case/s: Five
Exposure details: There have been no new cases detected. The COVID-positive residents are located in Jervois, Semaphore and Falie wings.
Site status: A small section of Semaphore wing is closed. The COVID-positive residents in Jervois and Falie wings are isolating in their rooms. The rest of Wesley House Aged Care is open to visitors.
Testing: All residents are undertaking PCR testing today.

UNITINGSA WEST LAKES AGED CARE

Positive case/s: Two
Exposure details: The COVID-positive residents are both located on Level 1.
Site Status: The COVID-positive residents are isolating in their rooms. The rest of Level 1 and the remainder of UnitingSA West Lakes Aged Care remains open to visitors.
Testing: A small number of results from PCR testing undertaken yesterday are outstanding. All results received so far have been negative. PCR testing is being undertaken across the whole site again tomorrow.
