Winter Appeal

Support our Winter Appeal today.

At UnitingSA, demand for our emergency assistance and homelessness services increases during winter as more people reach out for help to ensure they can keep their families safe, warm and healthy.

This year, the need in our community is even greater than usual and we are seeing people who have never needed our help before. The COVID-19 pandemic, an increasingly competitive rental market, rising utility bills and a lack of affordable housing mean more people are experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

All it takes is a rent increase, relationship breakdown, illness or an unexpected job loss for someone’s life to plunge into crisis.

Will you help us ensure people in our local community can access food, warmth and basic necessities this winter?

If you are able to, please donate to our Winter Appeal today and show someone who is struggling that there are people who care.

How can I help?

We are seeking urgent monetary donations, to help us purchase items of critical need.

By donating to our Winter Appeal you could provide a nutritious, hot meal for someone in need, help us keep the heater on for a family struggling to pay the bills, or provide a warm swag and blanket for someone sleeping rough on a cold night.

There are many ways to make a tax-deductible donation to our campaign:

  • Make a secure donation online. You’re able to make a once-off donation or set up a regular, monthly donation to provide ongoing support.
  • Call our friendly team on: (08) 8440 2200
  • Send a cheque payable along with your contact details to: UnitingSA, PO Box 3032, Port Adelaide, SA 5015

An easy way to show someone who is struggling that there are people who care.

“I am so grateful I was able to move into a pet-friendly room at Regency Green Aged Care. Whether I am going to a film or knitting or craft, my dog Bruce is always able to come. It really is wonderful.”
