We are seeking treasured recipes

UnitingSA invites tenants to be part of a special Community Cookbook.

Share a recipe that’s close to your heart and tell the story behind it. We would love to include a favourite dish of yours that represents your culture or brings back memories and joy.

How to get involved

Celebrate food, culture and community

All participating tenants will receive a free copy of the professionally designed cookbook once it’s complete.

Let’s celebrate food, culture and community together.

FAQs

We are seeking recipes of all kinds – entrees, mains, desserts, baked goods, snacks etc.

No, we will do our best to include as many varied recipes as possible.

As this is the first time we have done this, we are not sure how many recipes we may receive.

With hundreds of residents it is likely we will receive many recipes and unfortunately may not be able to feature them all.

Yes, you will receive notification if your recipe has or has not been selected.

If we receive recipes that are the same or similar, the names will be placed in a bucket and one will be selected at random.

At this stage, we have no set date. However, we anticipate to close off submissions around April/May 2026.

We will provide some further communications closer to the close-off date.

Nobody can do everything but everyone can do something.

UnitingSA relies on the generosity of donors to help deliver innovative programs and support for people in need across metropolitan and regional South Australia.

“I was feeling depressed and anxious before coming to Taperoo Community Centre and now I feel as though I belong for the first time in my life. The classes have helped me believe in myself and that I am capable of learning.”
