UnitingSA is pleased to announce we have been selected as one of the leading providers of psychosocial support services in the highly competitive SA Health Mental Services tender.

In December 2022 the South Australian Government conducted a tender briefing in response to a redesign of mental health services to be delivered by non-government organisations, inviting UnitingSA and other psychosocial service providers to bid for funding spanning a 9-year period commencing March 2024.

UnitingSA has been successful in this tender, meaning we will now be able to increase our presence in regional areas of South Australia by establishing new services in Renmark, Port Pirie, Murray Bridge, and across the Barossa-Hills-Fleurieu region, while expanding our existing services in Whyalla and Kadina. We are working closely with other successful providers in each region, as well as with the unsuccessful providers who have been impacted.

Due to the distribution of funding, there will be a slight reduction in some of our psychosocial support services within metropolitan areas, leading to a small number of metropolitan staff transitioning to our regional services.

UnitingSA welcomes the increased funding to our comprehensive psychosocial support services, and we look forward to amplifying our impact more broadly across South Australia.
