UnitingSA is bound by the requirements of the Australian Privacy Principles. All employees will respect the privacy and dignity of each client and will ensure that personal information is managed in appropriate ways. UnitingSA is committed to the protection of personal privacy and has adopted a set of privacy principles based on the provisions in the Privacy Amendment (Enhancing Privacy Protection) Act 2012.

UnitingSA complies with the new Notifiable Data Breaches (NDB) scheme under the Privacy Act 1988 (Privacy Act) which was introduced on February 22nd 2018. UnitingSA has data breach notification obligations when a data breach is likely to result in serious harm to any individuals whose personal information is involved in the breach.
