Important to Me
Children's Voice

A voice through art

Through the ‘Important to Me’ Art Exhibition, UnitingSA’s Communities for Children program provides the opportunity for children to share what’s important to them using art.

Held annually during Families Week, the initiative invites children up to 13 to express what matters most to them through a drawing and an accompanying description.

This provides young people – who are experts about their own lives – with a voice. Listening to children helps parents, friends and our community better understand their feelings, interests, aspirations and what they need to thrive.

A special thank you to the children who have shared their artwork and stories as part of this initiative. They have brought joy and understanding to all.

Thank you

Thank you to this year’s participants for their involvement in this initiative.

UnitingSA Important to Me Exhibition - Thank You

Nobody can do everything but everyone can do something.

UnitingSA relies on the generosity of donors to help deliver innovative programs and support for people in need across metropolitan and regional South Australia.

“I would still be on the streets if it wasn’t for the support of UnitingSA. It means the world to me to have a house for my whole family and to be able to tuck my children in at night.”

William,
