We offer a range of services and programs for the immediate and long-term support you need to help manage any household or financial difficulties.

Depending on your situation, support may include:

  • Emergency relief, including food and essential items
  • Help with utility bills and basic living expenses
  • Financial counselling to manage debt and budgeting
  • Access to No Interest Loans (NILS) for essential purchases

We also offer advocacy, support, information and advice and can refer you to other services and community activities.

Our Services

  • Emergency Assistance

    Our Emergency Assistance service is open to eligible individuals and families residing in the Western Suburbs of Adelaide, weekdays from 9.00am – 1.00pm at 58 Dale Street, Port Adelaide.

    When available, assistance may include nonperishable food items, food bank referrals, pet food, pharmacy vouchers for those with prescriptions, clothing, hygiene products, and help with public transport. We can also provide linen, blankets and swags to those in need.

  • Financial Counselling

    Financial Counselling is a free service for anyone looking to ease their financial stress. If you have recently become unemployed or are finding it hard to manage money, we offer a friendly financial counselling service which is supportive of your lifestyle.

    We can help you plan your budget, negotiate with creditors, organise debt and loan repayments, and teach you strategies for managing income and spending.

  • No Interest Loans Scheme (NILS)

    The No Interest Loans Scheme (NILS) provides ‘interest’ and ‘fee’ free loans to individuals, families or couples living on a lower income. You may be eligible for a loan of up to $2,000 to help you purchase essential goods and services – whether it be for costs associated with household furniture and appliances, health and wellbeing, education and employment essentials, housing, vehicles and transport.
