Vaccination Support

How can we help?

The Vaccinating the Isolated and Vulnerable (VIV) program helps people who are unsure about getting vaccinated, or facing barriers in accessing a COVID-19 vaccination.

Our Wellbeing Officers can support you to:

  • Access COVID-19 vaccination information and resources
  • Book a COVID-19 vaccination
  • Attend your vaccination appointment (assist with transport)
  • Overcome any other barriers you experience in getting vaccinated against COVID-19

This program is funded by Wellbeing SA in partnership with the Department for Health and Wellbeing.

COVID-19 vaccination facts

  • Vaccination is the best way to protect yourself and your family from COVID-19.
  • Everyone in South Australia 5 years of age and over is now eligible for a COVID-19 vaccine.
  • COVID-19 vaccines have been tested, reviewed and approved in exactly the same way as all other vaccines.
  • Even if you get vaccinated, you still need to keep up with COVID safe behaviours, like if you have COVID-19 symptoms, even mild, get tested immediately and stay home while you wait for your results.
  • We can all help stop the spread in the community by practising good hand hygiene, keeping 1.5m distance from others wherever possible, using the COVID-19 Safe Check-In and clean frequently touched surfaces.

“I was feeling depressed and anxious before coming to Taperoo Community Centre and now I feel as though I belong for the first time in my life. The classes have helped me believe in myself and that I am capable of learning.”
