We are writing to inform you that two residents at West Lakes Aged Care have tested positive to COVID-19.
Both residents are located on Level 2 and tested positive after undergoing Rapid Antigen Tests today. The two residents have been placed into isolation in their rooms, and are being attended to regularly by dedicated staff.
All Level 2 residents will undergo PCR testing either late today or tomorrow. Family and friends will be notified over the weekend if their loved one returns a positive result, while a full update will be provided on Monday.
At this time, the rest of Level 2 and the broader West Lakes Aged Care home remains open to visitors.
In light of the new exposures, visitors are reminded to continue following COVID-safe measures, including wearing a mask at all times, practicing social distancing and hand hygiene, and returning a negative Rapid Antigen Test before entry.
The following visitor guidelines still apply when visiting West Lakes Aged Care:
- A limit of two visitors per day, with a single visit of up to one hour
- All visits must:
- Be pre-booked via phone or email between 8.30am and 4pm, Monday to Friday. Please call (08) 8448 6100 or email westlakes@unitingsa.com.au
- Take place between 10am and 4pm daily, or 6pm and 8pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays
