We’re writing to inform you of the current COVID-19 situation across UnitingSA’s Residential Aged Care homes.

Please find below an updated summary for Hawksbury Gardens, Wesley House, UnitingSA West Lakes and Westminster Village Aged Care.

HAWKSBURY GARDENS AGED CARE

Positive case/s: Eight
Exposure details: There are six COVID-positive residents in the Para wing, one in Gawler and one in Burton.
Site status: The Para wing remains closed. Our residents in the Gawler and Burton wings are isolating in their rooms. The remainder of the Gawler and Burton wings, and the rest of Hawksbury Gardens Aged Care, is open to visitors.
Testing: PCR testing is being undertaken for all residents again today.

WESLEY HOUSE AGED CARE

Positive case/s: Eight
Exposure details: There are six COVID-positive residents located in the Semaphore wing, one positive case in Jervois and one in Lipson.
Site status: A small zone within the Semaphore wing is closed, along with one room outside of this zone. COVID-positive residents in the Jervois and Lipson wings remain isolating in their rooms. The rest of Wesley House Aged Care is open to visitors.
Testing: There was one positive resident detected in PCR tests undertaken yesterday. The resident is located in Semaphore wing. There was also one positive case in the Jervois wing which was unreported in yesterday’s update. PCR testing will be undertaken for residents in the Semaphore, Jervois and Lipson wings tomorrow (Thursday, 30 June 2022).

UNITINGSA WEST LAKES AGED CARE

Positive case/s: Seven
Exposure details: All COVID-positive residents are located on Level 3.
Site Status: A small zone on Level 3 remains closed to visitors. The rest of Level 3 and the remainder of UnitingSA West Lakes Aged Care is open to visitors.
Testing: PCR testing is being undertaken for all residents across the site today.

WESTMINSTER VILLAGE AGED CARE

Positive cases: Four
Exposure details: An additional five residents have been cleared. There is now two COVID-positive residents in the Largs wing, one in Henley Beach and one in West Beach.
Site Status: Largs wing will continue to be closed to visitors until further notice. The rest of Westminster Village Aged Care will re-open to visitors from 10am tomorrow. Visitor restrictions apply.
Testing: There were no positive residents detected in yesterday’s PCR testing. Henley Beach, West Beach and Largs wing residents will undergo PCR testing tomorrow.
