We’re writing to provide you with a COVID-19 update for UnitingSA’s Residential Aged Care homes.

This summary includes an update for Hawksbury Gardens, Wesley House, UnitingSA West Lakes and Westminster Village Aged Care.

HAWKSBURY GARDENS AGED CARE

Positive case/s: Eight
Exposure details: The number of COVID-positive residents remains stable. There are six in the Para wing, one in Gawler and one in Burton.
Site status: The Para wing remains closed. Residents in the Gawler and Burton wings continue to isolate in their rooms. The remainder of the Gawler and Burton wings, and the rest of Hawksbury Gardens Aged Care, is open to visitors.
Testing: There were no positive residents detected in the PCR testing undertaken yesterday. A further round of PCR testing will be undertaken on affected wings today.

WESLEY HOUSE AGED CARE

Positive case/s: Seven
Exposure details: There are six COVID-positive residents located in the Semaphore wing and one positive case in Jervois. The resident in Lipson wing has now been cleared.
Site status: A small zone within the Semaphore wing is closed, along with one room outside of this zone. The COVID-positive resident in the Jervois wing remains isolating in their room. The rest of Wesley House Aged Care is open to visitors.
Testing: Semaphore, Jervois and Lipson wings will undertake PCR testing today.

UNITINGSA WEST LAKES AGED CARE

Positive case/s: Seven
Exposure details: All COVID-positive residents are located on Level 3.
Site Status: A small zone on Level 3 remains closed to visitors. The rest of Level 3 and the remainder of UnitingSA West Lakes Aged Care is open to visitors.
Testing: PCR testing was undertaken yesterday. The results received so far have been negative with some results still pending.

WESTMINSTER VILLAGE AGED CARE

Positive cases: Four
Exposure details: We remain at two COVID-positive residents in the Largs wing, one in Henley Beach and one in West Beach.
Site Status: The Westminster Village Aged Care is open to visitors. Visitor restrictions apply. Largs wing remains closed until further notice.
Testing: PCR testing is being undertaken today.
