As COVID-19 restrictions continue to ease in South Australia, we are pleased to inform you of a change to visitor limits across all UnitingSA Aged Care homes.
Starting from 10am this Saturday, 7 May 2022, we will be increasing the number of visitors permitted each day from one visitor per resident to two.
However, to ensure we continue to safely welcome visitors in to our homes, we will maintain our limit of one visit of up to one hour per day. Visits must also continue to take place in the resident’s room or in an outdoor area.
Our Rapid Antigen Testing program for visitors and staff has proven effective in helping to control the spread of COVID-19, and has given us the confidence to expand our visitor numbers.
We are delighted to be able to increase our visitor limit in time for Mother’s Day this Sunday, 8 May 2022.
We are mindful of the importance of this special day and encourage residents and their families to speak with their care teams about additional flexibility we may be able to offer to support your family in celebrating this occasion.
We also ask that families continue to book visits in advance by contacting the home between 8.30am and 4pm.
While we are very pleased to be in a position to welcome more visitors into our homes, we remain mindful the situation can quickly change and we will continue to regularly review our visitor arrangements.
If you have any questions, please speak to a member of your care team. Contact details for all of our Aged Care homes can be found on our Contact page.
We’d like to wish all of the mums in our Aged Care community a Happy Mother’s Day.
