Portway Housing is all about providing you with affordable housing options.
Portway provides a range of housing options to tenants, including units, townhouses, semi-detached and free-standing homes.
Who can we help?
Housing options are available for:
- Low income families
- Young people under 25
- People over 65 years of age
- People with a mental health-related disability
You must be eligible for community housing to apply. Please check your eligibility before requesting a Registration of Interest form.
How much does it cost?
If you are eligible you will receive subsidised rental rates. Rent is set at 25% – 30% of gross household income, plus a small tenancy levy.
Where are the houses located?
Most options are in the Northern and Western suburbs. Houses are also located in Hove, Glandore, Prospect, Enfield, Paradise and Magill, among others.
How can I register?
If registering only for Community Housing click here to download a form.
If needed, you can ask for a form to be emailed or posted to you, or you can collect one from our office at 70 Dale Street, Port Adelaide.
Please note: Registrations of Interest will not be accepted by people already receiving subsidised rental accommodation via other community housing organisations or Housing SA.
The lodgement of a Registration of Interest form does not guarantee housing and no timeframes for housing are offered.
If you need help or have questions about this registration form, please contact Housing SA on 131 299 or visit a Housing SA office.
Need emergency housing?
Portway Housing is unable to offer emergency housing. For after-hours crisis situations that involve children, please contact the Families SA Crisis Care line on 13 16 11 or visit their website here for information about the full range of help available to you.
