Hawksbury Gardens Residential Aged Care underwent a modern transformation featuring 26 new resident rooms, a redeveloped fresh-cook kitchen, new sitting areas, a staff room, laundry and dining room.

Background

Originally constructed in the 1980s, Hawksbury Gardens Aged Care required an upgrade and expansion to ensure a more functional and
pleasant environment.

Project Summary & Features

  • 26 bright new, spacious bedrooms with private ensuites, bringing the total number of resident rooms to 89
  • Kitchen upgrade allowing fresh cooking of meals on‑site to increase food quality, resident satisfaction and wellbeing
  • Water and energy-efficient design
  • Extensions include ample outdoor courtyards and a range of communal and more intimate sitting areas suitable for residents and visiting loved ones
  • A new staff area and laundry add to the site’s amenities, with seamless integration of the older building with the new through bright linkways
  • Project delivered in two stages with completion of the Bingham Wing in March 2018 and the Burton Wing in
    July 2018
