Community Housing Development
Through Renewal SA’s Community Housing Asset Renewal Program, UnitingSA constructed six 3-bedroom townhouses to increase availability of Community Housing in Adelaide’s western suburbs.
Background
UnitingSA successfully submitted a proposal to redevelop debentured housing stock under Renewal SA’s Community Housing Asset Renewal Program in March 2016.
Two outdated 1950s Housing Trust properties were transformed into six 3-bedroom townhouses.

- Demolition of two outdated Housting Trust units on a combined 944m2 site
- New build of six 3-bedroom, two-storey townhouses
- A living environment designed with a focus on tenant wellbeing, featuring abundant natural light, open plan living and access to on-site secure parking
- Located in an established residential area with easy access to local amenities and nature reserves
- Project delivered within 26 weeks from posession of the site
- Rental prices capped at 75% of the market value
