Today is an exciting milestone at UnitingSA West Lakes, with our first residents moving into the three levels of Residential Aged Care.

Since the first sod was turned at the site 20 months ago, it has been an incredible journey watching the development progress into the wonderful building that stands today.

The complex at 1 Charles Street, West Lakes, includes 108 Residential Aged Care rooms with en suites, a memory support unit and 17 top-level Retirement Living Apartments.

Each of the three levels of Residential Aged Care features communal dining and lounge areas, as well as landscaped balconies for residents to enjoy.

Over the coming months, ground floor shops and services will be fitted out and tenanted to complete the five-storey complex.

A huge congratulations goes to everyone who has been involved in getting the development to this point, including the team from Walter Brooke architects, Kennett Builders and our wonderful staff from UnitingSA.

It has been a tremendous team effort and we know it will be a wonderful place for our residents and staff to live and work.
