As South Australia continues to flatten the curve of Omicron cases, it is imperative we do not become complacent around our COVID-19 preventative measures.

This is especially important when it comes to Aged Care homes, which we know are particularly vulnerable to the impacts of COVID-19.

Vaccinations are widely recognised as one of the most important steps we can take to bolster our line of defence against COVID-19.

From tomorrow (Saturday, 29 January 2022), all visitors to Aged Care homes in South Australia must show evidence of a booster vaccine, or booking to receive one within four weeks of eligibility.

If you are yet to provide evidence to your home, please bring it the next time you visit and our staff will add a booster stamp or sticker to your existing vaccination verification card.

For further information about the booster vaccine requirement, please view the South Australian Government’s Emergency Management (Residential Aged Care Facilities No 45) (COVID-19) Direction 2022.
