Thank you for helping save this Christmas
UnitingSA’s 2024 Christmas Appeal raised over $44,000 to support South Australians experiencing financial hardship or homelessness.
One hundred percent of funds raised supports our Home and Financial Stability team to ensure vulnerable community members can access the simple joys of Christmas, as well essential emergency relief, such as food, clothing and personal hygiene products.
Demand for support over the 2024 festive season has been the greatest ever, largely due to ongoing cost of living pressures and lack of affordable housing. But thanks to our donors we were able to help a total of 797 families and individuals.
Over 740 children and teens received gifts from our magical Toy Room in Port Adelaide which was stocked by our generous Christmas Gift Partners and members of our local community.
Our annual Christmas Day lunch was attended by 45 community members who may have otherwise been alone and without a meal.
The 2024 Christmas Appeal has now ended, however, we still need your support to help people who are struggling.
Locals still need our support throughout the year
If you’d like to support our work year-round, we encourage you to set up a regular donation from as little as $20 a month.
In-kind donations are gratefully received at our Emergency Relief Centre, 58 Dale Street, Port Adelaide (between 9am and 3pm, Monday to Friday). Please note that we can only accept new and unused in-kind donations.
