Unfortunate circumstances and some poor life choices caused Kayla to lose access to her children. Fortunately, Kayla was encouraged to connect with UnitingSA where she met Aboriginal Programs and Family Counselling Coordinator, Tashara.

UnitingSA is calling on South Australians to help ‘save’ Christmas as it launches its 2025 Christmas Appeal. UnitingSA’s emergency assistance team are reporting a 30% increase in people seeking support.
By working together we can Save Christmas, by putting food on the table and gifts under the tree for local families in need.
Sarah-Jane connected with UnitingSA through the Parent Pathways program earlier this year. Parent Pathways is a free and voluntary support service that helps parents of young children to meet their personal, study and work goals.
While there’s a big focus at this time of year on consuming, it’s also the perfect time to help children discover that giving to others can bring just as much happiness as receiving and that small acts of kindness can make a big difference in our community.
