UnitingSA was notified on Friday, 20 December 2021 that two team members who work at Regency Green Aged Care and Wesley House Aged Care had tested positive for COVID-19.

Both sites were immediately closed to visitors and our detailed COVID-19 management plan was enacted.

We’re pleased to advise all Wesley House residents and staff members have now returned negative results as part of their initial round of COVID-19 testing.

At Regency Green, all residents have returned negative results in the initial round of testing, however one staff member has returned a positive result.

The three UnitingSA employees who have tested positive for COVID-19 are self-isolating in accordance with SA Health directives, and we extend our best wishes to them and their families.

We are carrying out regular wellness checks on all residents and continue to monitor for symptoms.

Both sites remain closed to visitors in line with SA Health advice.

Last week, we also responded to potential COVID-19 exposures across UnitingSA West Lakes, Seaton and Westminster Village Aged Care.

These sites were among 22 across Adelaide to have been visited by two health professionals, who later tested positive to COVID-19.

Since our last COVID-19 update, UnitingSA West Lakes residents and staff have received their day five COVID-19 test results and we are pleased to advise they were all negative.

We are awaiting advice from SA Health regarding when we are able to reopen the site.

Seaton Aged Care and Westminster Village Aged Care are open to fully vaccinated visitors.

We thank our residents and families for their ongoing understanding and patience as our teams work to ensure the safety and wellbeing of everyone within our care.

We continue to work closely with SA Health and will provide further updates as more information becomes available.

Keep up to date with our response to COVID-19.
